The millennium old Tibetan medicine bath therapy witnesses the intangible cultural heritage inheritance of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau

In 2018, "Tibetan Medicine Bath Therapy" was successfully included in the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. From the systematic records of the "The Four Tantras of Tibetan Medicine" in the 8th century AD to the path of inheritance in higher education institutions, the reason why this ancient wisdom continues to thrive is because it is deeply rooted in the unique knowledge system of Tibetan astronomy, calendar calculation, and museums, and has received support from the state in science, technology, and culture in recent years.

As a microcosm of Xizang's intangible cultural heritage, Tibetan medicine bath therapy shows that various current intangible cultural heritage projects on the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau have been effectively inherited, protected and developed.
