On November 12, three children with congenital heart disease from Dechen Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province arrived in Beijing accompanied by their parents and volunteers and went to the China-Japan Friendship Hospital and Beijing Tiantan Hospital to receive free surgery treatment.

It is understood that in order to help ease the economic burden of the patients to maximum extent, the "One Heart: China Hearts" public welfare program organizing committee will bear all medical expenses of the patients and transportation and living expenses of the accompanying family members.

Since its launch in 2008, the "One Heart: China Hearts" large-scale charity event has organized more than 20,000 volunteers who have traveled throughout Tibet and Tibetan-inhabited areas of Sichuan, Gansu, Qinghai, and Yunnan and carried out various forms of charity health assistance for more than 500,000 people of all ethnic groups. Free surgeries have been performed on more than 1,500 children with congenital heart disease.
