Lhasa’s GDP exceeds 70 billion yuan in 2021
Recently, Lhasa, capital city of Tibet Autonomous Region, held a press conference on the city’s main economic indicators in 2021. According to the conference, the city’s GDP reached 74.184 billion yuan in 2021, an increase of 6.7% over the previous year and an average increase of 7.2% in the two years.
Among them, the added value of the primary industry was 2.445 billion yuan, an increase of 4.7% over the previous year, and an average increase of 7.9% in the two years; the added value of the secondary industry was 27.808 billion yuan, an increase of 1.0% over the previous year, an average increase of 8.5% in the two years; the added value of the third industry was 43.931 billion yuan, an increase of 10.8% over the previous year, and an average increase of 6.4% in the two years.
In general, in 2021, the city’s economic operation was stable with progresses and the quality and efficiency was improved, achieving a good start for the 14th “Five-Year Plan”.
