Recently, a ceremony was held to announce the selection results of "the most beautiful alleys" and "the most beautiful courtyards/compounds" in Jebumgang Street, Chengguan District, Lhasa, Tibet Autonomous Region.

Starting from 2021, Jebumgang Street has launched projects to improve people’s living environment in all communities under its jurisdiction. After a year of efforts, the living environment has been significantly improved. In order to further consolidate the effect, the street organized the selection activity of "the most beautiful alleys" and "the most beautiful courtyards/ compounds".

As a result, Hongqi Alley in Muru Community was selected as the "most beautiful alley", while Dese Compound in Jebumgang Community, Jiangre Compound and Gandainkangsar North Courtyard in Remuqi Community, Drakang Courtyard in Tsemenling Community, and Mizhen Compound and Dzomre Compound in Muru Community were selected as the "most beautiful compounds".

"In the past, electric vehicles were parked disorderly on both sides of the alley. After the activity, there are not only green plants on both sides of the alley, but also benches for residents to rest. The environment is much better than before." Tsangchung with the Dzomre compound said.
