Xi Zhenhua is the observation director of the National Field Scientific Observation and Research Station for Special Atmospheric Processes and Environmental Changes in Mount Everest, Xizang. Since 2013, he has carried out scientific research in Mount Everest for an average of more than 7 months every year.
Mount Everest Station is located in Tashi Dzong Town, Tingri County, about 40 kilometers away from Mount Everest. As the closest scientific observation station to Mount Everest, it undertakes the observation and research tasks of the special climate environment of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau, while also taking into account monitoring tasks such as hydrology, glaciers, ecology, and geology.
