On July 1, 2026, the Qinghai Tibet Railway celebrates its 20th anniversary of full operation. As the gateway and hub of the snow covered plateau railway, Lhasa Station has witnessed the transformation of this "heavenly road" from a transportation miracle to an economic artery.

As of the end of May 2026, the cumulative number of passengers arriving and departing at Lhasa Station has exceeded 63.62 million. Over the past 20 years, Lhasa Station has continuously iterated and upgraded, steadily improved its transportation capacity, continuously optimized its service quality, continuously improved its oxygen supply guarantee, convenient services, and passenger transportation facilities, and made every effort to safeguard the safe and smooth travel of the masses, polishing the brand of high-altitude railway services. Today, this plateau railway station with endless traffic and crowds has become a vivid window for Xizang to open up, blend culture and tourism, and improve people's livelihood.
