Spring ploughing in full swing in Tibet
On March 16, Lhasa, Lhoka and other places in the Tibet Autonomous Region ushered in spring plowing and sowing. In Mengkarong Village, Drashi Township, Chanang County, Lhoka City, and Jedeshol Community, Jedeshol Town, Konggar County, Lhoka City, Tibet Autonomous Region, villagers dressed in festive costumes and gathered in the fields to be ploughed. The Chema boxes (a rectangular wooden box filled with roasted Tsampa and fried wheat grain), which means a good harvest, the yaks decorated with red tassels, and the plowing machine decorated with colorful cloth strips... The fields are full of the sound of bells on the neck of the yaks, the roar of the machine and the cheers of the people. Everyone is busy with spring ploughing, looking forward to a good harvest together.
