A new record in Mt. Qomolangma expedition
As a unique geological, geographical, resource and ecological unit on the earth, the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is regarded as a "natural laboratory" by the scientific community, and Mount Qomolangma is a piece of jade in this laboratory needing to be explored.
Recently, the "Peak Mission" Mount Qomolangma scientific expedition of China's second comprehensive scientific expedition to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau was carried out officially. At 4:40 on May 15, Beijing time, the "Jimu-1" No. 3 airship platform reached an altitude of 9032 meters, exceeding the height of Mount Qomolangma, the world's highest peak, and creating a world record for airship atmospheric scientific observation.
