The 2023 Lhasa Shoton Festival is held during August 16-22 in Lhasa.

It is reported that there are seven items in terms of the main activities of the 2023 Lhasa Shoton Festival, including the opening ceremony, investment project promotion and project signing activities, Tibetan opera performance, horse racing, Tibetan chess demonstration, a seminar themed the Ecological Restoration and Comprehensive Management in Lhasa River Basin, and the traditional unrolling ceremony of a large Thangka painting of the Buddha.
