Drifting Competition in Qinghai Plateau Grand Canyon
On September 29, the first Nyi Mtha' Yellow River Grand Canyon Rafting Invitational Tournament kicked off at the Nyi Mtha' Yellow River Grand Canyon in Henan Mongol Autonomous County, Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province.
In autumn, the Nyi Mtha' Yellow River Grand Canyon fully embraces the elegance and grandeur of the Yellow River on the plateau, serving as a concentrated embodiment of the ecological endowments, cultural heritage, and development potential of the upper reaches of the Yellow River. The canyon stretches deep and far, with the Yellow River surging through it. Along the banks, steep and towering cliffs rise, adorned with scattered ancient verdant cypresses. Vast grasslands embrace the river valley, where mountains, waters, meadows, and the canyon complement one another, presenting a distinctive charm.
Gathering 13 drifting teams from China, Canada, Russia, and 80 professional athletes in the competition. The event uses competitions as a medium, integrating landscape scenery, ethnic songs and dances, showcasing the beauty of ecology, sports, and culture in the upper reaches of the Yellow River, and promoting the deep integration of "sports+cultural tourism" development.
