Work team conducts agricultural research in Ngari

An agricultural and farming work and research team has conducted a comprehensive survey to the state of farmland irrigation projects, specialty industries, farming and herding infrastructure, poverty reduction, and farmers and herdsmen's income increase during their more than half month's research in Nagri, southwest China's Tibet.

After the survey, the work team also made specific suggestions for the area's agricultural, rural, and farmer work.

Lazhuo, head of the work team and director of Meteorological Department of Tibet, said that Ngari needs to strengthen investment to irrigation facilities for farmland and pastures and increase publicity efforts in disaster prevention and relief, as well as pay more attention to the preparation of disaster relief goods.
