Luxurious hotel serves up taste of Tibetan culture
Wanda Vista Xining has undergone brand upgrading to offer guests upgraded services exclusive to Wanda Hotels & Resorts and modern decor inspired by the indigenous culture in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
The hotel has upgraded from upscale brand Wanda Realm to luxury brand Wanda Vista so as to present a benchmark of Chinese hospitality and chic luxury for discerning guests. It is the first luxury hotel of Wanda Hotels& Resorts in Xining, Qinghai province, which is a gateway to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and a stopover along the ancient Silk Road.
The latest enhancements to the guest experience include room keys featuring 24 solar terms of the Chinese lunar calendar, a welcoming tea ceremony and hotel porters wearing Tibetan robes. They will present a hada－a piece of white silk gifted by Tibetan people as a greeting－to guests.
Inside the hotel lies a dramatic entrance, lobby and huge hall, all decorated with Tibetan cultural elements such as mountains, lakes and Buddhist monasteries. Colorful knots and cloud-shaped totems expressing good wishes can also be seen in the hotel.
The hotel is working with local organic pastures to improve the quality of produce and culinary masters are being invited to create unique flavors in the hotel's restaurants. Moreover, the hotel has upgraded its scents, bedding and bathroom amenities, which are expected to enhance feelings of comfort.
Wanda Vista Xining can also offer local tour tips for guests to explore the city's iconic sites.
Guests can either choose to visit the Tibetan Plateau Wildlife Zoo and the Tibet Plateau Natural History Museum to learn about ecosystems, or visit the China Tibetan Medicine Culture Museum to immerse themselves in the stunning local culture, or visit Qinghai Lake and Kumbum Monastery.
For business travelers, a local food street and Wanda Plaza shopping center are a few minutes' walk from the hotel.
