Walking into Tibet: the Guge Kingdom site
The famous Guge Kingdom is full of mystery. It was established by the Tubo royal family after the collapse of the Tubo Dynasty with a ruling history of over 700 years. Located in Zada County, Ngari Prefecture, Tibet Autonomous Region, the site of the Guge Kingdom dates back more than 1,000 years. There are more than 600 houses, pagodas and caves in the site with sculpture, statue and murals which are rich in content and unique in style.
