Zhagana: City of rocky spires

Zhagana, an ancient city surrounded by rocky spires, is located at Yiwa township, about 30 kilometers northwest of Diebu county, Gannan Tibetan autonomous prefecture, Northwest China's Gansu province, with its terrain resembling a huge palace on a grand scale or a natural rock wall.
With its precipitous mountains and winding mists, this fairyland integrates various productive activities including nomadic lifestyle, farming, hunting and wood chopping, becoming a model of harmonious coexistence between human and nature.

There are 1,596 people in 224 households, among which 183 registered poverty-stricken people in 26 households have all been lifted out of poverty by 2019.
