On April 15 this year, the Siguniang Mountain Geopark in Sichuan Province successfully passed the review at the 224th session of the UNESCO Executive Board and was officially designated as a World Geopark. As a sensitive area for global climate change research, Siguniang Mountain Geopark features densely distributed high mountains with significant vertical elevation differences, making it a biodiversity hotspot. Its diverse world-class geological resources have garnered widespread recognition.

The Siguniang Mountain Global Geopark is located in Xiaojin County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, with an area of approximately 2764 square kilometers, covering six townships in Xiaojin County.
