In 2021, the Tibetan medical purgation therapy of the pulse was inscribed as a national-level intangible cultural heritage. This therapy was first recorded in the classic Tibetan medical text rGyud-bzhi (The Four Medical Tantras). Based on the principles of opening the pulse channels, unblocking the meridians, and purging illnesses, it has shown remarkable efficacy in treating chronic and stubborn diseases, chronic digestive system disorders, gout, and other conditions. Today, it has become a hallmark of Sog County's efforts to safeguard the health of the local population.
