High-quality seeds distributed to farmers during spring ploughing season
Right now is the time for spring ploughing. Recently, the Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Bureau of Rewoqe County, Qamdo City, Tibet Autonomous Region distributed high-quality highland barley seeds to farmers and herdsmen to help them during the farming season, so as to ensure food production.
In front of the warehouse of Rewoqe County Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Bureau, farmers and herdsmen drove trucks and tractors to transport the seeds. In the warehouse, bags of highland barley seeds are neatly placed, and the staff are distributing them in an orderly manner. The villagers are working really hard with faces full of smiles.
It is reported that on the day, the Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Bureau of the County distributed more than 50 tons of highland barley seeds to the masses, including “Xila 22” and “Tibetan Qing 2000”. In 2022, the county plans to have 44,500 mu of land planted in spring, including 37,500 mu of grain crops and 4,400 mu of fodder. The county’s spring ploughing will be in full swing in middle April.
