Dekyi is the head of cherry planting industry in the Modern Agricultural Industrial Park in Nyemo County, Lhasa City, Tibet. Along with six other industry support cadres at the base, she have taught 98 registered impoverished households “hand-in-hand” to learn planting techniques, which has helped realize an output value from planting cherries and organic vegetables of more than 1 million yuan (154, 300 US dollars), driving 585 people to gain work and cashing out 250,000 yuan (38, 575 US dollars) in labor dividends.
