The Tibetan New Year falls on Feb 24. Due to the novel coronavirus outbreak, residents in Southwest China's Tibet autonomous region were called on by authorities not to participate in any celebratory group activities and to avoid visiting friends or relatives. Instead, people choose to stay at home with family for a safe and healthy new year.
