On September 11, villagers in Qinghai's Xunhua Salar Autonomous County were meticulously sorting freshly harvested thread chili peppers for sun-drying in Xiata Village, Qingshui Township.

As autumn arrives, the golden fields of Xunhua County yield a spectacular harvest of thread chili peppers. Across nearly 25,000 mu (16.5 square kilometers) of farmland, local farmers work diligently to pick and dry the peppers. In recent years, Xunhua has transformed its thread chili pepper industry from a local specialty into a major economic driver by leveraging the fertile Yellow River Valley.
