On the site of the activity, Tashi Gyatso explained the Thangka of Four Animals Standing for Social Harmony with good meaning to audiences, which stands for respecting the old and cherishing the young, and living in harmony. “The scene in this Thangka shows that 56 ethnic groups in China live in harmony, work together with one heart, and pursue shared development and prosperity for all.”

Mr. Xu, an audience, said: “I visited the exhibition on holiday with my child and felt the charm of Thangka art by trying to paint one by ourselves. Though drawing a Thangka was not an easy task, it really provided us a rare opportunity to listen to such a detailed explanation about what the Thangka art is and to have a direct art experience.”
