Experience intangible cultural heritage at the cultural fair
At the Hehuang Cultural Fair, the "Intangible Heritage at Your Fingertips" experience is the most captivating—veteran artisans showcase their extraordinary skills, letting you personally touch the millennia old traditions flowing through colors, needlework, and fingertips.
Fancy trying Thangka painting? Mineral pigments and wolf-hair brushes lie on the table, and artisans will guide you hand-in-hand to outline the contours of a lotus, with every stroke holding profound care and tradition.

Then there's Hehuang paper-cutting. A red paper spins between your fingers, and with a few "snips" of the scissors, the peaks of Hehuang's mountains emerge. A quick twist more, and a flock of sheep seems to come alive on the paper, even the curls of their wool carrying the breeze of the plateau.
There's also shadow puppet making – under the artisans' guidance, you'll watch as lifelike little figures take shape beneath your hands in no time. You can even try copperware forging... Every craft carries warmth, letting you truly feel the roots and soul of intangible cultural heritage with each rise and fall of your fingertips.
