Recently, the 2nd Basum Co Hiking and Camping Festival was opened in Basum Co Scenic Area, Gongbo Gyamda, Nyingchi, the Xizang Autonomous Region.

During the two-day event, tourists could choose to participate in hiking group, camping group, or mountain climbing group freely. After the outdoor activities on the first day, all the participants in the hiking group and camping group could choose to camp on the sandy beach by the lake and take part in the Music Concert of the Land of Sky under the starry sky and the campfire party of circle dance.

Compared with the first edition, this event had four highlights. First, the mountain climbing group was added. By climbing the mountain, people could look down at Basum Co; second, an expert seminar was specially held to discuss the local characteristic tourism industry from the perspective of experts and promote the development of advantages; third, a photography exhibition was held and exquisite works related to Basum Co were displayed for tourists; fourth, aquatic sports were newly added, including drifting and stand-up paddle boarding so that tourists could truly get close to the lake view and experience the beautiful Basum Co.
