Riyue Mountain, known as “Chi Ridge” in ancient times, is 40 kilometers to the southwest of Huangyuan County, Xining, Qinghai Province.

It is about 100 kilometers away from Xining. Princess Wencheng in the Tang Dynasty had a distant marriage to Tubo. She passed the Riyue Mountain and left a beautiful story.

To commemorate Princess Wencheng, later generations built the Princess Wencheng Temple. Today, it has become one of the must-go places for tourists from different places in the world.
