Tibetan Buddhist exchange group from mainland China visits Taiwan
A exchange group from the High-level Tibetan Buddhism College of China arrived in Taiwan on Thursday for a week-long visit and Buddhism cultural exchange at the invitation of the Taiwan Association for the Promotion of Cultural Integration of Han and Tibetan Buddhism.
The exchange group arrived at the Taibei Palace Museum in the afternoon and visited Tibetan Buddhist artifacts exhibition, ceramics exhibition and jade exhibition.
After the visits, the group held an exchange forum with staff from the museum, when they briefed the museum on its relationship with Tibetan Buddhism and its collection. The two sides also gifted souvenirs to each other.
It is understood that in recent years, the High-level Tibetan Buddhism College of China has held such visits to Taiwan every year. And the visit group this year has the largest scale and the largest number of participants, who are mainly students with high academic ranks of the High-level Tibetan Buddhism College of China.
The group will continue to hold a series of activities in Taiwan such as praying and dharma assembly, sutra debates and exchange forums.
