On August 1, a reporter saw a moving scene at the foot of Long Stone Mountain in Maduo County, Golog Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province: groups of Tibetan wild asses (kiang) grazed peacefully together with yaks and Tibetan sheep on the same pasture, without disturbing each other. Over the years, Maduo County has continuously intensified ecological protection efforts at the source of the Yellow River, solidly advancing grassland restoration, wildlife management, and other tasks. The ecological environment has continuely improved, the habitat for wildlife has been constantly enhanced, and populations of various rare species have been steadily recovering. This vivid scene of wild animals and livestock coexisting harmoniously is the most direct and lively testimony to the effectiveness of ecological protection at the Yellow River source, beautifully demonstrating the picture of 'harmonious coexistence between humans and nature' in the Sanjiangyuan region.
