February 16 is the Lunar New Year's Eve, coinciding with the Tibetan New Year's Eve known as "Gutug". The Spring Festival meets the Tibetan New Year, and the snowy plateau is filled with a strong festive atmosphere. Sang Jie, a villager from Gurong Village, Changsuo Township, Dingri County, Xizang, bought new furniture and prepared enough New Year goods to spend the first Spring Festival and Tibetan New Year after moving to their new residence.
