The Traditional Ethnic Equestrian Performance Was Held in Lhasa, Xizang

March 2 marks the third day of the 2025 Tibetan New Year. The traditional ethnic equestrian performance and ethnic horse racing activity was held on the racecourse in the northern suburb of Lhasa, Xizang.

The activity included traditional equestrian performances and ethnic horse racing. Athletes wore ethnic costumes and showcased their talents through singing and dancing while on horseback. They also demonstrated advanced equestrian techniques.

As an important part of the ethnic culture of Xizang, equestrianism not only stands for auspiciousness, bravery, and wisdom but also serves as an important activity for celebrating the Tibetan New Year. The traditional equestrian performance held on the third day of the Tibetan New Year has been preserved for many years and is highly welcomed by the people of Xizang.
