Since its premiere more than 40 years ago, the Tibetan New Year Gala has created a unique festival atmosphere that belongs to the plateau every year. Integrating nearly 40 intangible cultural heritage elements including Tibetan opera, traditional costumes, Nangma Duixie, and the Zhuo dance, this gala will be broadcast during prime time on the Gutug Night, which falls on February 27, 2025 according to the Tibetan calendar. It is reported that the core creative team of this gala is relatively young and innovative in the history of the Tibetan New Year Gala, with nearly 3,000 actors showcasing the diversity and inclusiveness of Tibetan culture. National intangible cultural heritage inheritors will display their talents, and young Tibetan artists will make innovative expressions. Moreover, there will be authentic sounds of original folk songs and the audio-visual impact of integrating modern dance.
