Namtso scenic area enters peak tourist season

In early June, the peak tourist season begins in Namtso scenic spot as the temperature gradually rises.

Namtso, which means "Sky Lake" in Tibetan, is the third largest saltwater lake in China. It is located in the southeast of the northern Tibet and the northern slope of Mt. Nyainqentanglha, across Damxung County in Lhasa City and Bangoin County of Nagqu City. The lake level is 4718 meters above sea level.
