5.0-magnitude quake hits Tibet: CENC

BEIJING, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) -- A 5.0-magnitude earthquake jolted Gerze county of Ali prefecture in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region at 2:01 a.m. Friday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter, with a depth of 9 km, was monitored at 34.56 degrees north latitude and 85.68 degrees east longitude, said the CENC.
