Lhasa to build all-New tourism brand
There is a golden scenic route in Lhasa, southwest China's Tibet, and because of its location in northern Lhasa, it’s often called “Lhasa Northern Horizon.”
Tashi Dondrup, the associate Chief of the Tourism Development Committee of Lhasa City, Tibet Autonomous Region, said “Lhasa Northern Horizon” combines the most stunning cultural sights including monasteries, palaces, Tibetan villages, farming regions, herding areas, and cultural crafts, as well as natural scenery such as snowy peaks, glaciers, lakes, meadows, valleys, basins, and more. The route presents the most diverse and tightly-knit scenery on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
“Currently, ‘Lhasa Northern Horizon’ is mostly complete. In 2019, our tourism department will make ‘Lhasa Northern Horizon’ a new tourism brand for Tibet.” Said Tashi Dondrup.
“We hope that, by offering ‘Lhasa Northern Horizon,’ we can combine the excellent tourism resources all over Lhasa, and provide more travel choices for visitors. We hope visitors would know that there’s view and culture everywhere in Lhasa that worth enjoying.”
