Nyingchi: raising Tibetan pigs developed to be an income-growing industry

In the past few years, Nyingchi city in southeast Tibet has used its comparative advantage in raising Tibetan pigs to help locals obtain employment and increase income and has achieved good progress.
By 2020, Nyingchi plans to build a standardized and large-scale breeding and cultivation basecamp for Tibetan pigs. The goal is to raise 420 thousand Tibetan pigs annually, and achieving more than 250 million yuan (37 million US dollars) in output value.
