Tibet finishes producing of Spring Festival and Losar Gala
Recently, Tibet has finished recording and producing of Spring Festival and the Tibetan New Year (Losar) Gala in Lhasa. The gala will be televised on Tibetan Radio Television during the 2019 Spring Festival and the Tibetan New Year.
“We came to Lhasa more than a month ago to rehearse for the Tibetan New Year show.” Said Kelzang Tashi, an artist from Nagqu. “We get up very early in the morning, and rehearse until around eight at night.”
According to the director of the gala, Nyima Drolkar, in addition to local professional actors and folk artists, this gala also features performers from Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Guangxi, Ningxia, and other provinces. The gala will present performances including Tibetan operas, songs, dances, and skits to the audience.
