Chinese-Tibetan bilingual application development contest kicks off

The first Chinese-Tibetan bilingual application development competition officially kicked off on Jan. 17.  

According to the organizers, China Internet Development Foundation and Tibet University, the contest aims to provide Tibetan people with more convenient bilingual applications, further promote Tibetan economic and cultural development, enrich the spiritual and cultural lives of Tibetan people.    

The applications should comply with the relevant state policies and regulations, and respect Tibetan customs and cultural habits.

The priority will go for the language content that contains Tibetan. The functional applications must be in line with the contest theme.  

There will be three first prizes, ten second prizes as well as several awards of excellence.

The largest prize for a single piece of work is 100,000 yuan (14,548 U.S dollars).

Winners can get cash prizes, and the award-winning applications will also receive multi-channel promotional support.  

The competition will last four months and will use online registration.

Contestants can register entries via the official website up until April 4.
