Major region of Tibet in primordial condition

Many ecological systems on the Tibetan plateau are structurally stable and have a steady quality, with most of the region still in primordial condition, according to tests conducted by Chinese Academy of Sciences and related agencies.

In Tibet Autonomous Region, water, atmosphere, noise, soil, radiation, and quality of the ecological environment are in good condition. The rivers, lakes, forests, grasslands, wetlands, glaciers, snow mountains, and wild animals are effectively protected.

Tibet has all the terrestrial ecosystem except for the oceanic ecological system, and it remains a critically protected area for the DNA data bank of species and biodiversity.
