Tibet's largest metal structure plant goes into production
On June 18, the largest metal structure plant in Tibet – the Nyingchi Metal Structure Plant officially started its production, people.cn reported.
The Nyingchi Metal Structure Plant is located in the Nyingchi Municipal Development Zone with a surface area of 1,152 acres. The plant focuses on developing, manufacturing and installing woodworking machinery devices, municipal buildings as well as bridge steel.
The responsible person of the plant, Zhou Jianping, introduced that the metal structure plant is oligosaprobic so that it can meet the requirements of environment protection.
At the moment, this plant is responsible for the manufacture of a few large-scale projects, such as the arch bridge on the Lhasa-Shigatse Railway, metal structure of the Dagu hydropower station, machinery devices for the Lhasa River regulation project as well as the marine products for the Nasuwa hydropower station in Nepal.
