5 stadiums in Tibet to be free or low-cost to public

According to the Tibet Autonomous Region Sports Bureau, five stadiums in Tibet now offer free or low-price admission to the public in order to better serve the residents’ physical fitness needs.

The five stadiums include the Lhasa People’s Culture and Sports Center Stadium, Lhasa People’s Culture and Sports Center Gymnasium, Tibet Autonomous Region Race Course, Tibet Autonomous Region Gymnasium, and Ngari Race Course.

These stadiums are open no less than 35 hours per week and no less than 330 days per year. On legal holidays, public holidays, and school breaks, they will stay open for no less than eight hours per day, and on National Physical Fitness Day, these venues will all be open free of charge.

All outdoor areas of these stadiums will be free year-round and stay open no less than 12 hours per day.

If any of these stadiums needs to close due to maintenance, repairs, safety reasons, training, competitions, or the weather, there will be a seven-day notice for the public.
