Daily passenger flows at Lhasa Railway Station exceed 8,000
Recently, as both the Chinese New Year and Tibetan New Year are approaching, Lhasa Railway Station has seen its first passenger flow peak. Lhasa Railway Station has already come into Spring Festival travel period in advance, as the number of passengers coming to Tibet and going out of Tibet is continuously increasing. According to the Lhasa Railway Station, passenger flows at Lhasa Railway Station exceed 8,000 on January 16. Semi-cushioned berth train tickets from Tibet to Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chongqing are not available until early February.
Presently, there are mainly three online booking platforms, including phone booking (phone number: 95105105), internet booking (www.12306.cn) and railway 12306 app. The pre-sale period of train tickets is 60 days. The tickets on the 60th day of pre-sale period shall be on sale at 15:00 pm every day at Lhasa Station. The offline train ticket booking methods include booking through ticket window, ticket vending machine and railway ticket agency, of which the ticket’s pre-sale period is 58 days.
