Unique local culture was showed to domestic and foreign visitors at the recent opening of the China Mongolia 2016 “Chinese Culture Festival” Qinghai Province, which lasted five days.

The exhibition featured more than 30 pieces of Thangka. In order to give the audience a more intuitive feel and understanding of the artistic charm of Thangka, the artists showed them the Thangka painting and making process at the exhibition.

The audience developed a strong interest in Qinghai culture and within a few days thousands of people were attracted by the ethnic crafts and folk culture from the plateau.

This exhibition has already become an important exchange platform for understanding and getting a feel for Qinghai. The event displayed the strong development of Qinghai’s folk culture and the skill levels of ethnic handicraft, as well as effectively promoting and showcasing Qinghai’s multicultural nature. 

In order to spread Qinghai’s unique culture, this year Qinghai Province Culture & Media Publication Office has been to Nigeria, the United States, Mongolia and other countries to take part in cultural exchange activities, to broaden channels of cultural exchange and improve the overall influence of Qinghai culture.
