Tibet builds first prefabricated steel structure teaching building
On June 28, a ceremony was held to mark the completion of Tibet's first prefabricated steel structure teaching building at Gangdul Township Primary School in Gonggar County, Lhoka.
The building is built with an advanced and environment-friendly prefabricated steel structure. Construction began in January 2017 and lasted six months. The three-story building is a total of 2,000 square meters and cost more than 9 million yuan (1.3 million US dollars). Its construction has relieved a shortage of solid school buildings in the area, creating a better educational environment for teachers and students, and having an important influence on the development of local education.
