Harvest Festival and Wool Culture Festival open in Tibet

The 2019 Tibet “Chinese Farmers Harvest Festival” and the Chanang County Wool Culture Festival both opened on the morning of September 6 in Chanang County, Shannan City, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region.

The opening ceremony kicked off with a song and dance titled “Bumper Harvest”. In addition to the main stage in the center, there were also performances of traditional autumn harvest activities and wool weaving skills. The unique performance style showed the unique culture of Chanang County to the audience.

“The Wool Culture Festival has become a card for publicity and promotion of Chanang County. I hope more people could come to the county, and that through these events, we can inject new vitality into the economic and social development for Chanang County,” an official from Chanang County said.
