Tibet builds first intangible cultural heritage museum
The first intangible cultural heritage museum starts building in Lhasa, capital of southwest China'sTibet Autonomous Region on September 26th.
The museum is located in Tsechokling China Tibet Culture Tourism Industry Park, Chengguan District of Lhasa city. It will open to publicin 2018.
According to the plans, the museum covers 60 mu (equals to 40,000 square meters), with the floor area 6,000 square meters and collects all types of intangible cultural heritages from Tibet, carefully-selected Thangka paintings, Tibetan opera costumes and other representative items. It will benefit the effective protection and inheritance Tibetan excellent traditional culture and arts.
It is the first aid project of Shenzhen city to Lhasa. After its completion, the museum will be transferredgratis to the government of Lhasa city for management.
