Tibetan Opera “Songtsen Gampo” debuts in Qinghai

Tibetan Opera “Songtsen Gampo“ debuted in Qinghai by the Qinghai Tibetan Opera Troup on April 29, 2016, Xinhua reported.
The grand Tibetan opera, which was created over the past three years, extols Songtsen Gampo's great contributions to advancing Tibet’s development and safeguarding ethnic unity through unifying the Tubo Kingdom, creating the Tibetan characters, enacting laws, developing Tibetan culture, constructing towns as well as marrying a princess of ethnic Han group. It applies various art forms such as singing, chanting, dancing, acting and dialogue, a typical style in Amdo(including Aba in Sichuan,Gannan in Gansu, six Tibetan autonomous prefectures in Qinghai and Nagqu in Tibet).
