The "2016 Tibetan New Year intangible cultural heritage dance performance" and the "2016 Year of the Monkey Culture Exhibition" is being held in Lhasa, sponsored by Tibet Autonomous Region Department of Culture and hosted by Tibet Autonomous Region Mass Art Gallery (intangible cultural heritage protection center). The dance performance features dancers from Lhasa’s Nyangrain Folk Art Troupe and the program covered traditional Tibetan drama, dance, ethnic costumes and other original art. The culture exhibition focused on "sharing the Chinese family festive feeling". There are pictures, objects, live performances by intangible cultural heritage successors and many other displays related to monkey culture, Spring Festival, and Tibetan New Year. It is reported that the culture exhibition will continue until Jan. 15.
