Tibet’s 1st Tsha Tsha exhibition center opens

Tibet’s first Tsha Tsha exhibition center opened in Lhasa on Oct. 15, 2015, People.cn reported.

The center has put on display thousands of Tsha Tsha from different eras. The oldest exhibit is thousands of years old with extremely high artistic, cultural and religious values.

Tsha Tsha is a molded figure of Buddha. In Tibetan Buddhism, worshippers take it as a holy article of prosperity and delivery from disaster. Due to its exquisite craftsmanship, it is also taken as a precious work of art.

Because the raw materials of Tsha Tsha are readily available, Tsha Tsha is very popular and widely made among the locals.
