Mindrolling Monastery

Mindrolling Monastery is the largest and most important Nyingmapa monastery in Tibet. Yarlung Tsangpo River

The Yarlung Tsangpo is a major international river shared between China, India and Bangladesh. It begins in western Tibet and runs east through the South Tibet Valley. This valley with the Yarlung Tsampo River is the cradle of Tibetan civilization. This is where the first people who came to Tibet settled; it is where the first monastery was established and where the first king built the first castle. It is also the area where Buddhism first took hold.

Trandrunk Monastery

Trandrunk Monastery is one of the earliest Buddhist monasteries in Tibet. It has been founded at the same time as the Jokhang and Ramoche in Lhasa. For those who travel in Tibet, Trandrunk Monastery is a great place to learn about the culture and history of Tibetan Buddhism.

Tombs of the Kings at Chongye

The Tombs of the Kings are scattered over a vast area .The body of each king was buried along with statues, precious objects. Some of the greatest kings of the Yarlung dynasty were buried here. It's said that there are more than twenty tombs.
