Chinese visitors can obtain Nepal on-arrival visa for free

Since 19:15pm,January 1,2016 (17 o’clock Nepal local time), it has been officially confirmed that Chinese visitors can obtain Nepal on-arrival visa for free. Once landing at Nepal, you can apply a visa for free with a valid period of 90 days at most . GRATIS, letters on the on-arrival visa, means that you don’t need to pay for it.

Tips:
On-arrival visa for free is not equal to visa-free.
On-arrival visa for free means that the destination country would not charge you for relevant visa fees, but you still need to apply for the visa according to the procedures.
Visa-free means that you can enter the country from the immigration check directly without applying for a visa.
Until now, on-arrival visa for free is only applied at International Airport in Kathmandu. No feedback is heard from Embassy of Nepal in foreign country and other land ports temporarily.
Application Procedures at International Airport in Kathmandu
Once landing at International Airport in Kathmandu and entering the terminal building, you would walk through the corridor and the lobby comes into view immediately. It’s easy for you to find the entry card on the desk.
Tips:
1. If you enter Nepal by domestic airlines, you can ask a flight attendant for the entry card and fill the information in advance.
2. Everyone must fill the entry card, including the visitors who have already obtained visa and those who want to get on-arrival visa.

The most convenient way is to fill the information on this machine. You would get a receipt once completed. Please take care of it.
The receipt would be printed out once completed successfully.

Submit your visa entry receipt or application form, and passport to service windows according to the period of 15, 30 and 90 days respectively. Several minutes later, on-arrival visa is ready for you.
