Tibetan Buddhist academic title work conference held in Beijing

Recently, the first plenary meeting of the first session of the fourth Tibetan Buddhist Academic Rank Steering Committee was held at the High-level Tibetan Buddhism College of China in Beijing. Jamyang, the director of the commission, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech.

In his speech, Jamyang said that he hoped all members of the new steering committee would pass down and carry forward the fine traditions of the committee, play a fully active role in establishing a new academic title system in Tibetan Buddhism, and make more contributions to the healthy development of Tibetan Buddhism.

Liu Wei, secretary-general of the Buddhist Association of China issued a letter of appointment to the new members.

Drukang Tupdeng Kedrol, deputy director of the commission, reviewed the work done over the last five years by the committee and made suggestions for the work in the next five years.

Nangla Tashi, deputy dean of the High-level Tibetan Buddhism College of China, detailed the outstanding achievements of textbook compilation for academic title of band three in recent years, analyzed the difficulties and deficiencies that arose, and put forward work plans for public teaching materials, professional teaching materials, and playing the role of the committee.
