Tibetan Antelope - Migration Path for Breeding

A group of female Tibetan antelopes are migrating for breeding in the core area of Qiangtang National Nature Reserve.
From May to July each year, female Tibetan antelopes in Qiangtang National Nature Reserve enter the season of migration for breeding. They gather together from their usual scattered places and migrating in numbers of thousands, following the same time and route, towards their accustomed place of producing lambs. This is the migration of Tibetan antelopes, one of the three most spectacular ungulates migrations in the world.
On their migration journey, they always need to guard against fierce beasts such as wolves and brown bears around them. Countless similar species will fall, but there are more Tibetan antelopes that can safely reach their destination.
According to the 2023 Xizang Autonomous Region Ecological Environment Status Bulletin issued by the Department of Ecological Environment of the Xizang Autonomous Region on June 5, 2024, the number of Tibetan antelopes in Xizang has increased to more than 300000.
